The LubMat-IberTrib 2024 conference, held in the picturesque city of Donostia-San Sebastián, was a resounding success, bringing together professionals, researchers, and industry leaders in the field of lubrication, tribology, and condition monitoring. This year’s conference not only lived up to its reputation but also set new benchmarks in terms of the quality of presentations, networking opportunities, and technological advancements showcased.
The Tribology Challenge was presented by Xavier Borras to a large audience receiving great support from both industry and academia. The message was clear, the whole l field could benefit from the standardization of the tribological practices. The i-TRIBOMAT: The European Tribology Centre, Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und -prüfung (BAM) and Mondragon University will continue working on it.


One of the highlights of the LubMat-IberTrib 2024 was the visit to the Petritegi Cider House where the rheology and emulsibility of cider taken right from the barrel could be experienced.
